Jarhead Red Wine A delightful wine. Well worth the time and effort if you can acquire it. It was not available in local stores thus I had to order it online. It is a red wine that is robust and full of flavor. Though not overwhelming even with simple dishes.
This was after I began to pour the wine into the decanter on the bar.
I remembered to turn on the neon lights. Adds an aire of being a legitimate bar. Even if it is just a bar at home type of deal. There is a dark red/maroon/burgundy color to the Jarhead Red wine in the decanter.
At dinner at the table. We had steak and shrimp. It was heavy enough to be enjoyable with the steak yet light enough to compliment the shrimp.
Near the end of dinner. It was surprising how well Jarhead went with the entire meal. A delight with each sip and recommended for any meal. This was a Marine Corps Birthday meal on 10 Nov 2006.
I tried to get a GOOD picture of color and clarity. Without the flash it showed up too dark With the flash it showed showed up too clear, bright and fuzzy. It's really a surprisingly remarkable wine. For those like myself who can not find it locally it is well worth ordering online if possible.
